San Diego's most iconic skate shop, established in 1987 in Pacific Beach and still run by owner Jim Ruonala — the shop that etnies chose to honour with a Skate Shop Day colourway. A core independent with almost four decades behind it, a short drive from Robb Field Skatepark.

Pacific Drive has been at it since 1987, which is the point: as owner Jim Ruonala puts it, “shout out to all the skate shops that have been at it forever — it’s not easy.” Skateboarding magazine calls it San Diego’s most iconic shop, and pro Sal Barbier came back to it for the re-release of his signature shoe. Listings give hours of 10am to 6pm on Monday and Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday; confirm midweek hours before you travel. Robb Field in Ocean Beach and Linda Vista Skatepark are the parks to pair with it.
