A Boston skateboarding institution that opened in 2006. Recently moved back to its Allston roots in a massive new flagship space, known for an explicitly welcoming attitude toward older skaters.

Orchard has anchored the Boston skate scene since 2006. In 2025, the shop moved into a massive new flagship space in Allston, continuing their legacy of community building.

Far from the gatekeeping sometimes found in core shops, Orchard’s ownership has a documented history of making sure their spaces—including their famous indoor mini-ramps—are comfortable for older, returning skaters to learn on. It’s an essential stop if you need gear before rolling down the street to Smith Playground Skatepark & Pump Track in Allston or heading to the Lynch Family Skatepark across the river.
