Welcome Skate Store
Leeds, England, UK
Reviews on the shop's own page describe staff who are 'totally down with' a customer knowing nothing about boards, and happy to explain trucks and wheels — the right temperament for a returning skater.
Services
Leeds' independent skate shop in the Victorian Thorntons Arcade, open seven days with a full range of decks, hardware, shoes and apparel and next-working-day UK delivery from its online store. Customer reviews repeatedly single out the staff — including one first-board buyer who knew nothing about skating and was walked through it without fuss.
Welcome sits in Thorntons Arcade in the city centre, a fifteen-minute roll from Hyde Park Skatepark on Woodhouse Moor. The consistent thread in customer reviews is the staff: helpful with setup questions, welcoming to complete beginners, and not fussed if you leave without buying anything. Hours are 11am to 6pm Monday, 10am to 6pm Tuesday to Saturday and 11am to 5pm Sunday, and the online shop offers next-working-day delivery across the UK if you would rather arrive at the park already set up.
