Skatepark of Tampa (SPoT)
Tampa, Florida, US
Terrain & Features
Legendary skate facility operating since 1993, famous for its annual 'Old Man Bowl' contest for skaters 30+, featuring forgiving Skatelite indoor wood terrain, private adult coaching, and dedicated session schedules.
Operating continuously since 1993, Skatepark of Tampa is one of the most culturally revered parks in skateboarding history. Far from just a contest venue for pros, SPoT is a welcoming hub for veterans and returners, highlighted each year by its Old Man Bowl Jam specifically dedicated to skaters aged 30, 40, and 50 and older.
The indoor street course and mini-ramps are surfaced in forgiving Skatelite wood, delivering smoother roll-in transitions and softer impacts when stepping off. The park offers private one-on-one coaching for older skaters looking to regain board confidence or build ramp-carving fundamentals. BMX bikes are restricted to designated days (Wednesdays and Sundays), keeping the course free of heavy metal frames during standard skateboard sessions.
