Roughly 40,000 square feet of concrete in Ocean Beach, and the first skatepark built and maintained by the City of San Diego. The layout covers a wide spread of terrain, from mellow banks and flatground through to deeper transition, which is why it stays busy with a genuinely mixed-age crowd rather than just teenagers.
Helmets are required at San Diego city skateparks, so bring one. The perimeter flatground and banks are the easiest entry point; go earlier in the day to avoid the after-school rush.
