Riverfront Skate and Bike Park
Fort Smith, Arkansas, US
Terrain & Features
A floodlit 12,000-square-foot City of Fort Smith action sports park on the Arkansas River open daily from 6am to 11pm, pairing a custom poured-concrete flow and street skatepark with an adjacent Velosolutions asphalt pump track and progressive skill lines.
Overlooking the Arkansas River just north of the Fort Smith National Historic Site along the multi-use Greg Smith River Trail, the Riverfront Skate and Bike Park is a 12,000-plus-square-foot municipal facility operated by the City of Fort Smith. Built through a collaboration between Pivot Custom, American Ramp Company, and Velosolutions USA, the park is open and floodlit daily from 6:00am to 11:00pm, giving older skaters in the River Valley dependable dawn and after-work windows with dedicated off-street parking and boardwalk viewing areas.
The multi-zone layout makes it easy to rebuild leg strength and board feel before tackling steeper transitions. Returning riders can start on the rhythmic rollers and banked berms of the Velosolutions asphalt pump track—which builds pumping speed without requiring a single ollie—or work through the concrete plaza’s mellow banks, ledges, rails, and custom skateable Arkansas-outline obstacle before testing the deeper flow sections, Plexiglas wall, and 12-foot vertical wall. Note that this is an unsupervised, all-wheel facility shared with BMX and mountain bikes as well as scooters; helmets and pads are strongly advised, and early mornings after 6:00am or late evening sessions under the lights avoid peak afternoon bike traffic.
