A 32,000-square-foot SITE Design Group poured-concrete skatepark in Peoria's Rio Vista Community Park, open and floodlit daily from 6am to 10:30pm with shaded seating, a broad flow and street course separated from two bowls, and a strict ban on bikes and scooters.

Set inside Rio Vista Community Park just west of Loop 101 in the Phoenix metro’s West Valley, Rio Vista Skatepark spans 32,000 square feet of poured concrete designed by SITE Design Group. For older skaters navigating desert heat, the park’s 6:00am opening and full overhead night lighting until 10:30pm provide essential dawn and post-sunset sessions, backed by shaded spectator bleachers, nearby restrooms, and water fountains. City park rules also prohibit bicycles and scooters on the concrete—limiting the surface to skateboards (up to 34 inches in length) and inline skates—which keeps lines predictable.

The expansive footprint separates its deep vertical terrain from more forgiving warmup zones. Returning riders can start on the flatland areas, manual pads, varied-height grind ledges, banked euro gap, and the broad transition flow section before testing the two ten-stair sets or dropping into the two dedicated bowls, including an amoeba-style pool bowl finished with swimming-pool coping and entry steps. Note that the park is unsupervised and city rules prohibit skating on surrounding park curbs, driveways, or parking lots. If you need softer wheels, riser pads, or protective gear before a West Valley roll, stop by Cowtown Skateboards in central Phoenix, or pair an East Valley morning with Pecos Skatepark.
