Nienhuis Skate Park
Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, US
Terrain & Features
A floodlit 30,000-square-foot municipal concrete skatepark in Broken Arrow open daily from 7am to 11pm, combining a Hunger Skateparks concrete pump track and spacious street plaza with a separate 6-foot bowl.
Set directly behind the Nienhuis Park Community Center and Aquatic Facility in Broken Arrow, Nienhuis Skate Park spans roughly 30,000 square feet of free municipal concrete after a major 2021 expansion that more than doubled its original 2007 footprint. Operated by the City of Broken Arrow Parks and Recreation Department and floodlit daily from 7:00am to 11:00pm year-round, the facility gives older skaters in the eastern Tulsa metro reliable early-morning and late-evening windows supported by adjacent parking, picnic pavilions, and park restrooms.
The multi-phase layout naturally separates ability levels and riding styles: a dedicated concrete pump track extension designed by Hunger Skateparks sits at one end for low-impact pumping and carving, a sprawling street plaza offers wide flatground lanes, wedge banks, manual pads, and progressive grind ledges in the middle, and the original 6-foot-deep concrete bowl and quarter-pipe section anchors the opposite side. Because the park welcomes BMX bikes, scooters, and inline skates alongside skateboards and is unsupervised, weekday mornings right after 7:00am or later evening hours under the lights offer the most relaxed sessions. You can easily pair a suburb session here with Gathering Place Skate Park along the Arkansas River in Tulsa.
