Fresno's premier 30,000-square-foot concrete skatepark, designed by Site Design Group. A supervised skateboards-only facility that eliminates bike and scooter collision risks, offering a predictable, calm session for older skaters alongside lit night riding until 10pm.

Built on the corner of Marks and Emerson Avenues in northwest Fresno, Lion’s Den is the city’s flagship skatepark and one of the largest concrete layouts in the Central Valley. What sets it apart for older skaters is its structured supervision: the park operates as a dedicated skateboards-only facility with gated entry and a mandatory helmet requirement, drastically reducing the erratic cross-traffic and collisions common at unmonitored multi-sport parks.

The 30,000-square-foot footprint by Site Design Group offers plenty of forgiving space to warm up. Low-impact perimeter flat banks, manual pads, and manageable flatbars let you get your feet back under you before approaching the transition areas, which include medium-depth flow sections and a classic cloverleaf bowl. Floodlights keep the park skateable until 10pm, while early weekday mornings offer an open, uncrowded session.

For fresh urethane, replacement bearings, or setup adjustments, Cal Skate on North Blackstone Avenue is roughly three miles east and has been serving Fresno skaters since the 1970s.
