Terrain & Features
A 10,000-square-foot Grindline poured-concrete municipal skatepark in Parkersburg open and lit daily from 7am to 11pm, combining approachable curbs, mounds, and concrete whip-de-do rollers with an advanced 6-to-10-foot cloverleaf bowl.
Maintained by the City of Parkersburg Parks and Recreation Department inside Fort Neal Park, Fort Neal Skate Park is a 10,000-square-foot cast-in-place concrete facility designed and built by Grindline Skateparks. Open and floodlit daily from 7:00am to 11:00pm alongside a park shelter, pond, and walking paths, the venue gives older skaters in the Mid-Ohio Valley reliable morning and evening sessions outside standard work hours.
The park is laid out with distinct terrain zones that separate low-impact street and flow warmup lines from serious transition. Returning skaters can dial in their balance along the outer perimeter’s low curbs, mellow concrete mounds, flat rails, and rolling “whip-de-dos” before stepping up to the centerpiece cloverleaf bowl, which drops from a 6-foot pocket through an 8-foot middle section to a 10-foot deep end tailored for experienced bowl riders. Keep two operational caveats in mind: the park is an unsupervised facility shared with BMX bikes and scooters, and the cloverleaf bowl’s 6-foot minimum depth demands solid transition control and protective gear before dropping in.
