Boone/Florence Skate Park
Florence, Kentucky, US
Terrain & Features
A 22,000-square-foot municipal concrete skatepark in Northern Kentucky explicitly divided into separate beginner, intermediate, and advanced areas with free admission and dedicated parking.
Located at the corner of KY-18 and Ewing Boulevard just off I-75 in Boone County, the Boone/Florence Skate Park is a 22,000-square-foot municipal concrete facility maintained by the City of Florence. What makes the layout particularly welcoming for older skaters is its deliberate zoning: the city designed the footprint with distinct beginner, intermediate, and advanced areas, allowing returning riders to practice in the beginner section without competing for space with faster bowl and street lines.
Start on the gentler concrete banks, low ledges, and smaller transitions in the beginner zone before moving toward the intermediate street obstacles or deeper bowl pockets. A covered spectator shelter and dedicated parking lot sit right beside the course off Ewing Boulevard. Keep in mind that the park is an unsupervised daytime facility open strictly from dawn to dusk with no night floodlighting, and the city recommends helmets and pads for all riders.
