A free public poured-concrete skatepark in Rehoboth Beach designed by Fifth Pocket Design and built by Evergreen Skateparks on the grounds of Epworth United Methodist Church, offering 24-hour access, morning beginner instruction, and a spacious street and bank zone separated from its pool-coped transition bowl.

Built through a grassroots community fundraising effort on the grounds of Epworth United Methodist Church just off Coastal Highway, Epworth Skatepark (created by the Epworth Skate Project, designed by Fifth Pocket Design, and poured by Evergreen Skateparks) is Southern Delaware’s premier public concrete skate facility. Open 24 hours a day and free to the public with adjacent church-lot parking, the park is particularly welcoming for older skaters in Sussex County thanks to its open, uncrowded morning windows and recurring morning beginner lessons (such as 8:30am–10:00am private coaching sessions hosted by local instructors).

The layout separates a spacious outer street and flow section—stocked with wide flatground approaches, mellow banks, China banks, low ledges, flat rails, and quarter-pipes—from a deeper transition bowl finished with pool coping, allowing returning riders to rebuild balance and carving rhythm without crossing into fast bowl lines. Keep a few practical caveats in mind: the park is unsupervised (“skate at your own risk”), has no dedicated stadium floodlighting (so sessions after dusk rely only on ambient parking-lot light), and sits on active church property where visitors must pack out trash and respect quiet hours and community events. If you are travelling upstate toward Wilmington and the I-95 corridor, you can pair a coastal session here with Glasgow Skate Park in Newark.
