A City of Bellevue skate campus at Highland Community Center pairing a supervised indoor wood ramp park with a Monday evening clinic for older skaters, free gear rentals, and an adjacent 13,000-square-foot floodlit concrete street plaza.

Operated by Bellevue Parks & Community Services on the Highland Community Center campus, this dual-facility hub pairs one of the country’s longest-running municipal indoor skateparks (established in 1994 and renovated on a two-year cycle) with the adjacent 13,000-square-foot Highland Outdoor Skate Plaza. For older skaters returning to a board across the Eastside and Greater Seattle, the indoor facility runs a dedicated Monday evening clinic (5:00pm–6:00pm) alongside a Monday night quad-skate session (6:15pm–8:00pm), provides free loaner skateboards, helmets, and pads at the front counter, and enforces a strict ban on BMX bikes and scooters inside both the indoor warehouse and the outdoor plaza.

You can match the terrain to the Pacific Northwest forecast: step inside the climate-protected wood park to work on smooth banks, quarter-pipes, and ramps under staff supervision, or roll out to the free, floodlit concrete street plaza (open daily from dawn to 11:00pm) to practice on its refinished slab, 40-foot slappy curb, 24-foot flat bar, across-and-down rail, ledges, stairs, and hubbas. Keep several municipal rules in mind: a signed waiver and strapped helmet are mandatory at all times inside the indoor park, private facility rentals are not offered, and skating on the outdoor plaza is prohibited whenever the concrete is wet or under maintenance. If you need a new deck, softer wheels, or fresh hardware on your way across Lake Washington, stop by 35th North on Seattle’s Capitol Hill, or cross the bridge for a rainy-day session at All Together Skatepark.
