Terrain & Features
Expansive 21,500 sq ft concrete street plaza beside the RFK Triborough Bridge approach in Queens, offering wide flatground avenues, low manual pads, and calm dawn sessions from 6am.
Spanning 21,500 square feet within Astoria Park beside the Robert F. Kennedy (Triborough) Bridge approach, Astoria Skatepark is one of NYC’s largest and most functional public skate plazas. The open-air setting along the East River waterfront provides cooling breezes and a spacious concrete layout.
The plaza layout features generous flatground runways and low-rise manual pads and ledges completely separated from the multi-stair and rail setups. Gates unlock at 6am daily; the dawn window between 6am and 9am is exceptionally peaceful, giving older skaters room to carve and practice technical fundamentals before school breaks. Pair your session with a visit to Labor Skateshop on Canal Street in the Lower East Side for fresh wheels and hardware.
