Set alongside the River Colne just south of Watford town centre, Oxhey Activity Park is one of the premier concrete recreation spaces in southern England. Built by Freestyle Skateparks as part of an ambitious multi-million-pound park regeneration, the facility was designed specifically to accommodate distinct disciplines and ability levels across dedicated independent zones.

For older skaters, the standout feature is the physically separated beginner skatepark and surrounding pumpscape. By keeping lower-consequence roll-ins, flat banks, and low ledges completely separate from the advanced street plaza and deep flow bowl, the layout eliminates the intimidation of navigating expert lines while shaking off rust. The smooth, well-curated concrete offers reliable grip, and the gentle contours of the pump track provide an ideal low-impact warm-up for loosening stiff joints and waking up leg muscles.

Floodlights extend riding sessions into the dark, making after-work skates practical throughout autumn and winter. The site features the Tasty Bean Café, dedicated pay-and-display parking, and full Changing Places accessible toilets.
