Measuring over 4,600 square metres (50,000 square feet) along Fitzsimmons Creek, the Whistler Skatepark is the second-largest public skatepark in Canada. Accessible through Day Lot 3 just outside Whistler Village, the facility integrates three distinct construction phases into a flowing outdoor paradise framed by alpine views.

For older skaters, the standout area is the modern street expansion, which was specifically engineered with long, gentle contours, broad ledges, and low-angle banks that allow riders to pump and generate sustained speed without harsh joint impact. The park’s signature serpentine snake run flows naturally into a 6.5-metre diameter bowl, giving transition skaters a continuous line to carve without requiring abrupt kickturns.

The Resort Municipality of Whistler explicitly recommends that beginners and returning skaters take advantage of early morning sessions when the concrete is quiet. The facility is free to ride daily from April to November, and push-button floodlights mounted on light poles keep the park illuminated until 1:00 AM. Paid parking is available in Day Lot 3 ($4/hr or $21/day), and mountain bikes are strictly prohibited to prevent debris and protect the concrete surface.
