Busselton Skate Park

Expansive 2,000-square-metre oceanfront concrete facility on the Busselton Foreshore. Features four distinct street zones graduated by difficulty, an isolated 1.2-metre shallow progression bowl, and on-demand push-button lighting until 10pm.

Stretching across more than 2,000 square metres of the picturesque Busselton Foreshore overlooking Geographe Bay, Busselton Skate Park is one of the largest and best-equipped skate complexes in Western Australia. Designed and constructed by Convic, the park integrates expansive street skating, progressive transition, and spectator parklands into an open coastal setting.

For older skaters returning to riding, the park’s sectional layout is particularly thoughtful. Rather than funneling all disciplines into a single congested area, Convic structured the facility into four interconnected street plazas designed to accommodate varying difficulty levels, allowing beginners and intermediates to progress without feeling overwhelmed. Furthermore, alongside the cavernous 3-metre bowl sits an isolated 1.2-metre shallow progression bowl, giving older transition riders a low-consequence arena to practice pumps and carving lines without coping anxiety.

The park is free, accessible 24 hours, and features user-activated push-button lighting on the central purple pole that illuminates the park until 10:00 PM. Early mornings between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM offer glass-calm coastal air and nearly empty concrete before visiting families and midday beachgoers arrive. Adjacent foreshore amenities include public restrooms, outdoor showers, drinking fountains, and parking.
